Week 8 Journal

This week I learned about the market and build feasibilities of different products. I focused in on the design I had used for week 6 to gain a better understanding. In my opinion, a lot of what market feasibility is is the perception of a product to who you are selling it to. The price vs need radio has to be good enough for people to want to buy it. After you get through that aspect though, you need to make sure it will last a long time, doesn't require too much instruction/experience, and that parts of the product do not have to be replaced. If any of those reign true, the build and market feasibility will become weaker. Unfortunately there is no way to design a perfect product, there will always be some downside, whether it's the price, or hard to use, or requires specialization, or isn't as effective. The goal of these products, though, is to make a new product that can reduce or eliminate a problem, or make modifications on an old product that makes an improvement on the previous one for a lower cost. Although some products can make multiple improvements, or erradicate multiple problems, the way you market it has a big impact on whether or not it will be sucessful in the long run.
