Standardized Test: AP Exams
AP(Advanced Placement) exams are college-level exams on specific subjects and are administered in May upon the completion of an AP course taken at a student's high school. At many colleges and universities, a high enough score will earn the student college credit. AP exams are usually conducted in the USA and are mainly done for the sole purpose of allowing a student entrance to their desired college course.
AP exams use a supply response approach, which is then assessed by use of a rubric.
Following Justice's question below, I'm curious if a student is allowed more that one opportunity to earn the college credit? And that said, your post reminds me of all of the study guides and prep courses that are available for the different standardized tests out there, which only reinforce inequality because you have to have the money to be able to buy the courses.
Is there a minimum score set for students to qualify for placement? If yes what happens to students who o not meet the mark? If No, does that imply that after completing the AP course you can succeed in college?
