As an educator, our main goal is for us to be an effective and an efficient curriculum implementer. We are bounded by the standard that is intended to pass on the learners. We are trained to apply different kinds of teaching strategies that are suited to achieve a good outcome of teaching learning process.We as an educator, we engage the learners to educational activities that will benefit them to learn the competencies designed with each subjects. After we facilitate and process their learnings we do conduct an evaluation or an assessment.We do test the students knowledge and intelligence. I could say thar knowledge testing is like a recapitulation of previous learning while  inteligence testing is an evaluation of the learner ability to perform on a specific task. Testing intelligence is most probably about measuring learner's capability to prove what they have learn from the subject matter.Testing of knowledge is like asking the student what was the lesson yesterday and testing intelligence is like answering a test from the lesson given within the day.

When might each approach be appropriate or innappropriate?

I could say that the approach is considerably appropriate when the students is being process in a proper manner. Evaluating the students according to their capacity is not only a means of learning. Engaging them and making them happy while learning is important. This approach is inappropriate if an educator violate the students confidentiality with regards to the result.Data privacy act must be applied.
