Abstract

The participants in this study were 250 high school students with a Hispanic background. The study examined whether there is a relationship between students’ learning styles and their math achievements. It also examined whether one learning style is more dominant than other styles. This study found that students with visual learning styles had significantly higher math achievements than auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. This study discovered that there were no significant differences with respect to math scores between male and female students. Moreover, this study found that the majority of females were visual learners. The kinesthetic learning style had the lowest percentage of male and female students as compared to visual and auditory learning styles.
