Abstract

With the emergence of COVID-19, many changes have occurred around the world, which has negatively affected individuals. Accordingly, this study aims to determine whether psychological resilience affected the level of fear of COVID-19 and the level of future career anxiety among students who are about to graduate. The data were collected through an online survey of 370 undergraduate students in various disciplines based on three measures related to fear of COVID-19, future career anxiety, and psychological resilience. The results of the study revealed a positive relationship between fear of COVID-19 and future career anxiety and a relationship between psychological resilience and future career anxiety, and the result of structural equation modeling proved that the mediation role between psychological resilience and future career anxiety was insignificant. The results of this study help create an understanding of the effects of the pandemic on individuals and contribute to knowledge about the preventive role of psychological resilience in overcoming difficulties.
