Abstract

Teaching, in all disciplines, has been subjected to unprecedented scrutiny and change, and the discipline of business education is no exception. This change has been brought about by new teaching tools associated with latest technology in developed as well as developing countries. Many business institutions in Pakistan are now moving from traditional teaching pedagogies to modern teaching by introducing new technologies. Therefore, this study is focused on measuring the level of technology use in teaching by the faculty and its effectiveness according to the perception of 130 students at university level. A survey was conducted in public and private universities with post-graduate students. The responses were taken on a five point rating scale ranging from no usage to very effective usage. The data was analyzed through a mean t-test and an independent t-test. The findings of the study were reported with respect to both factors (i.e. level of technology usage and its effectiveness) and future dimensions of research were discussed.
