Abstract

The best language for educating any child is that in which he or she has the highest linguistic resources to communicate effectively. The language is none other than the child’s mother tongue. The developed countries are educating their children in the local languages hence they are able to make appreciable advancement in science and technology. In this paper, it is believed that no language is superior to another from the linguistic perspective. Developed African languages have the required vocabulary to transmit science and technology. The role of African languages in transmitting science and technology is adequately explored in this paper.
