Abstract

Drug Abuse among youths in the contemporary society has taken various new dimensions, which has impacted negatively in their overall well-being. Based on this fact, the researcher seeks to explore various strategies for the eradication of drug abuse among challenged students in Higher education and its counseling implication. The study will employ descriptive survey design. The instrument for data collection is a researcher developed structured questionnaire. The population of the study will comprise 320 counsellors and 450 challenged students. Out of this population, 150 professional counsellors and 300 challenged student counsellors will be drawn through simple random sampling technique, The data to be collected will be analyzed using mean and standard deviation. Any mean score above 2.5 will be accepted while mean scores less than 2.5 will be rejected.
