Abstract

It not only describes what a play-based curriculum means, but also what it could look like in an early years elementary classroom which addresses Common Core State Standards. A new definition of play is provided: Purposeful Learning Accentuating Yourself, and a top ten action list for educators to advocate and practice play-based curriculum in their classrooms.
