Abstract

This study analyzes technological resources, educational, and teaching distance courses offered in a corporate environment. It aims to identify the elements that promote higher students’ learning results from the perspective of students, tutors, and the head of the distance learning course “Human Relations,” which takes place in the Mexican company Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE). A quantitative approach was applied based on a descriptive and quasi-experimental design. The study population consisted of 297 participants enrolled in the distance learning course “Human Relations,” six tutors teaching the course, and one head professor. From the total number of students registered in the distance learning course, seventy participants were randomly selected to participate in the study. In this way, we analyzed the participants of the different groups assigned to each course tutor and the head professor to manage the results per participant better. In addition to the quantitative research instruments, a survey was applied to thirty-nine students, six instructors, and one head professor of one distance learning course. The results show that participating students receive learning satisfactorily through course instructors’ learning materials and teaching strategies. Finally, this research detects issues related to the participation dropout of some students enrolled, suggesting greater preparation for tutors and head professor of distance learning course to offer more significant educational quality in online corporate courses.
