Abstract

The main objective of the study is to establish a model for measuring the impact of empowerment work in terms of behavioral change. The method used within the present research focuses upon establishing a questionnaire for measuring the five areas of limiting beliefs that refrain individuals from feeling empowered. The examples of behaviors that represent the limiting beliefs have been given by a group of experts. The information gathered from the experts has been analyzed using statistical procedures and in the end there were selected the relevant dimensions of empowerment intervention. Having as starting point the empowerment approach in terms of acknowledging and changing limiting beliefs, the scale aims to establish whether there is a change of attitude and which is the impact in terms of emotion, cognition and behavior for people that assumed the model. The result was a scale of 23 items.
