Abstract

The Ministry of Education in Malaysia is constantly exploring new methods to improve the education system in the country. Teachers and other parties are trying their best to find new techniques to improve the imparting of education in class and at home. Similarly, the objective of this research is to improve the education system by integrating multimedia into the teaching of chemistry: a subject that was the researcher’s major. The research focused on integrating multimedia into a subtopic of chemistry called Atomic Structure. The results show that most students are interested in using multimedia in their learning material. Overall data also show that the multimedia tool helps them to better understand chemistry. The research intends to make suggestions for the improvement and further development of the educational field.
