Abstract

As literature review underlines, transition consists a critical issue for education and learning process continuity which can bring negative or positive consequences not only in behavior or school performance but also in the development of personality of the children in a long term. In this framework, specific activities for preparation of preschoolers can be developed focus on their smooth transition to elementary school having in their core the targeted communication between preschoolers, teachers and parents. Thus, the purpose of this research is to examine knowledge and perceptions of preschoolers about primary school in order to be determined their readiness for upcoming transition to this. Method includes structured interviews in preschoolers urging them to answer key questions in the field of communication activities development regarding their transition. Data analysis was based on content and descriptive analysis. Findings based on qualitative and quantitative data which is extremely interesting as they can be used as scientific expertise to improve transition programs from kindergarten to primary school by peripheral education authorities or central policies.
