Abstract

The aims of this paper are proposing a framework for supporting personalized learning in the context of web-based adaptive educational hypermedia systems and present the dynamic web-based multimedia approach in SCORM-complaint e-Learning. The framework proposes that a content object or SCO is written in XML in the same manner that the SCORM data model uses XML to represent the Metadata for content objects based on the IMS Learning Resource XML Binding Specification. With this architecture, the e-Learning System is able to support different levels of adaptively dynamism and able to generate an appropriate presentation for different requirements or preferences that ensure the e-Learning system for the students is flexible and tailoring web layout to an individual user.
