olive branch petition
The point of the olive branch petition was so that great britain showed their power and showed and expressed their force and it was toward all 13 colonies. They wanted to show rights to colonists without disobeying the british rules. The colonists and the people who recieved it weren't happy about the forceful power being held at them. Ther wer some similarities such as in advocating the comon sense and the olive branch petition brcause of the actions occurred.
I think you should add how the british also wanted this to show them their rights, but also telling them they should remain loyal to the british.
