Kara Leslie’s Updates
Self-Introduction: KARA LESLIE
Hi there!
My name is Kara Leslie and I am a senior in Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a minor in business. I'm from the Chicago suburbs and have lived in Illinois my entire life. Outside of school, my main passion is music and I am currently the vice president of the women's glee club at UofI. I also love reading and going to the movies.
I chose this course as a way to expand my views and learn more about the health infastructures in other areas of the world. I am looking forward to communicating with others whose opinions and view points are different from mine through the discussions and activities in this course.
One of my most recent favorite technology innovations that has changed lives is a table software that allows continuous virtual monitoring of at-home patients that require daily intravenous infusions. This app could save countless time and moeny on at-home care nurses and physicians by monitoring their patients virtually instead of in-person. The link below shows an article that assessing the viability and utility of this mobile healthcare.!

Hey, Kara. I'm another one from Chicago. I'm also a big fan of music and movies. Congrats on being the Vice President of the women's glee club.
Look forward to communicating with you during the course!
Hi Kara, it is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Khurram, and I am also from the Chicagoland area. It was great reading the article that you posted. My interest is in developing mobile applications, and it was great to read about another positive effect of mobile applications. It is interesting to note that this application can not only aid at-home care nurses and physicians, as you mentioned, but can also help patients monitor themselves from the homes, leading to an increased awareness in individual health.
I look forward to reading more your posts.
