Multimodal Literacies MOOC’s Updates

Multimodality in IT

The important site of multimodal communication that I'd like to talk about is rather abstract and difficult to objectify, which is job market in information technology area. The job requires regular updates and participation of updating existing modules which can be listed infinitely. As such industry requires such a high literacy of abbreviation and exceptional and outstanding programming skills and often it's made of simple code after heavy load of study and discussion as well as trials and failures.

The above is the link of "List of programming languages" searched in wikipedia. What brings specialists down is, when secondary product of a language comes out such as JQuery, which is the following of Javascript, grammar of the language changes and experienced Javascript programmer would have to learn JQuery as a new form of language even if it is the child of Javascript. This is the point where another worker's update becomes redundancy of a profession. I'd like to call it "multidimensional approach". When updates for the talented programmer happens where multimodal communication is inevitably needed. The education can happen through not only by open source online tutorial videos and mailing screen shots along with newly born terms but the most easy way would be tutorial videos.

However watching videos while working can be inappropriate in workplace when coding is desperately needed. This is another point where an example multimodal communication can play a part, which is remote PC controller. It can be linked through intranet server or internet. This way, a PC can control another PC. It makes the communication in workplace the fastest but it requires both highly proficient workers.

In conclusion, what multimodal literacy relies on is not only personal creativity to be effectively applied but also persistent interest in the expertise. When form of communication is so advanced, the ways of communication are infinite but finite to a function.
