Lab simulation Group Activity

In past one and half year learning has greatly moved from face-to face to online. One of the greatest challenge in science learning is how execute the laboratory skills in online mode. The laboratory skills not only includes handling of apparatus but also measuring, tabulatiung and analysing the data. Simulation tools greatly can reduce this shortcome. However the simulation tools should be supported with other multimedia tools effectively. So we can name this methode as multimeida-Simulation learning. As like any other online we need online calling platform like Teams or Zoom to setup small groups for the practical classes. 

Teachers needs to findout suitable online simulation tools from internet. There are many paid and not paid sites which provide online simulation where students can simulate most of science practical experiment. Some of the links are provided at the end of this article 

Students can independenly work on simulation in their laptop/Tablet however they need to collaborate to share their finding. This can be done by the use of many collaborative platforms. Some of the platforms are Google Jamboard, Padlet, Linoit etc. Students should be encouraged to share their finding as Diagrams, Screenshots, Videos etc in the shared platforms 

Online assessment can be utilised using quizzizzz, microsoft forms, mentimeter etc. This ensure the engagement of students. 

The analysis of experiment is the last step of simulation based experiements. Many online graph drawing platforms can substitute the traditional graphical analysis method.
