Hello, my name is Rob, and I am originally from Chicago but now reside in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I am a technical writer and an instructional designer, with about 10 years experience in each. I have a bachelors degree in information technology, and I am halfway through working on my masters degree. I have used various learning management systems, such as Blackbeard Learn, and e-learning authoring software such as Articulate 360. I enjoy the challenge of creating engaging e-learning that is self paced. I would love to learn more about developing useful and beneficial e-learning, as well as engaging and thought provoking content. I use digital media in my every day life, such as an iPad Pro together with the Apple Pencil. I find that I like to hand write notes rather than type them on a keyboard, so the Apple Pencil allows me to do this on the iPad. The app that I use for this is called Penultimate, and after trying several note taking apps, I find this one to be the easiest and most useful.

My hope in taking this course is to become an ubiquitous e-learning designer/developer! In my career, I have created instructor-led training and e-learning, or self paced training. I want to become better at creating engaging e-learning to help learners get all they can from the content I create.
