Abstract
This paper explores the research trends on User Experience (Ux) using different techniques of Visualizing Knowledge Domains (VDK). Through the ISI Web of Knowledge (WoK), 9 key authors were selected for Factor Analysis and Pathfinder Network (PFNETs). The goal of this document is to identify the main themes of empirical research in academic journals on Ux among 2005–2010. The results obtained show the existence of three research topics that focus in (1) artifact-oriented hedonic evaluation, (2) artifact-oriented utilitarian evaluation, and (3) user-oriented holistic evaluation. These topics are consistent with the needs of the new Experience Societies. We discuss the results.
