Using the Potential of Technology to Reconceptualise Assessment
Abstract
A multi-functional pathway promoting a high quality, flexible, learner-focussed approach that meets the diversity of university students’ needs is being proposed, developed and trialled in 2002 in the Faculty of Education, Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia. This paper discusses processes and technologies used to support multi-functioning assessment and the theoretical underpinnings of this approach.
