Abstract

We describe here the beginnings of a futures scenario development and implementation process which forms a key aspect of our community work as Transition Adelaide Hills (TAH). While we are registered as full members of the Transition Towns movement, we are, like all groups, developing along lines that suit our unique environment and the talents of its members. We start our story with a brief history, including the context of the study, and then describe how we have gone about developing a first draft of a futures scenario to guide our decision making. We are using an action research approach and a number of methods to collect the data that informs the construct of the futures scenario.
