The Rhetoric of University Missions and the Globalization of ...
Abstract
This essay maps the circulation of a corporate-focused educational discourse among U.S. public universities, international treaties, supranational research groups, and global lending institutions in order to understand better the globalization of higher education. It argues that the global convergence of tertiary education results from a complex chain of organizations that endorse the U.S. model of higher education and encourage other nation-sates to adopt this model.
