Abstract

This communication, shows the results of the master research developed by the author about the relationship between disabled people and museum. The research was constructed by the voices of the visitors and the directors of museums and Brazilian museologic representatives. Meanwhile the visitors want more respect, less barriers to access, different ways of communication and best trained staff, the directors of the institutions talk about the financial and bureaucratic difficulties for offer inclusive resources. <p>But this visitor more than people who wants to be included in the cultural live of the society, represents a growing number of new visitors in the museums, and a way to be sustainable in the contemporary society. The objective of this study was to prove that this problem must be minimized with a cultural policy of accessibility in museums, because in Brazil don´t exist yet one politic that guarantee the rights and the desire of disabled people in the cultural access. The author of this research is Viviane Sarraf, a specialist of accessibilty in museums, and a militant student that research this problem in the Communication and Arts School in the São Paulo University.</p>
