Abstract

In this paper we propose the internalisation of school experience in order to encourage a more international preparation of teachers which favours their mobility throughout the European job market. We have based our proposal on a case study that briefly describes the exchange teaching practice programme established by the Spanish MEC in collaboration with the British Teaching and Development Agency (TDA), and results from a questionnaire completed by trainee teachers. The MEC-TDA exchange programme described allows us to know the objectives and evaluation framework of such initiatives; at the same time, the feedback obtained from the questionnaires used for our qualitative study sheds light on the benefits that participants experience.
