Abstract
It is after years of teaching at the university level that I understand how best to teach a literary work -- be it fiction or poetry or drama. It takes on the status of a fact of life in students’ lives. It offers as Robert Frost says “a clarification of life,” that provides “a momentary stay against confusion.”
