Abstract

The main emphasis of this research paper is to analyze the practice, performance and the potential of sustainability reporting in business. There are different reporting guidelines to adhere to and this paper will choose an accurate, efficient and effective approach to develop a sustainability report. The paper consists of two parts. The first part deals primarily with a survey of literature reviewing the practice, performance and potential of sustainability reporting in business. The second part will deal with research methodology, discussion, analysis and findings on the best reporting guidelines. Sustainability reporting helps to measure, track and improve internal and external performance and promotes good corporate governance leading to transparency and accountability in corporate administration and managerial decision making.
