Abstract

Design educators who are not afforded the luxury of having an entire program (or even a class) dedicated to sustainable design can still incorporate principles and practices of sustainability into their courses. This paper/presentation will focus on proven suggestions for studio assignments designed to expose students to sustainable concepts and practices both in their profession and in their lives. In addition, the paper will discuss classroom delivery/practices that reinforce sustainability.
