Therefore, it is important not only to know psychological foundation and to study students’ research potential but also to consider pedagogical factors, which influence its realization in the process of learning. In this paper, the phenomenological description of the research potential is given, and an approach to its investigation as a specific characteristic of a researcher is proposed. It also shows the special features and differences of its realization among master students studying on different programs and in different academic environments.
