Abstract

On planning for a future we have focussed, first, on the way human beings have lived from the early 19th century. Since then it is clear there have been radical changes. The changes over the last 50 years, in particular, have been dramatic. Importantly, today we have no way of growing the amount of required food essential for our survival. This is escalating at an ever-increasing speed. It is a world wide problem. We appear to be unable to address the problem in an effective way. It is usually denied. Our current behaviour is underpinning human extinction.
