Abstract

Human services organizations experience many change processes in Western society today. Changes often include uncertainty for employees with regard to their work and to their place in the organization. When change occurs, it may impact on employees’ level of commitment (affective, normative, and continuance) to their organization. This case study analyzes, in part, the impacts of employee commitment to their organization when organizational change takes place at a rapid pace. The study will also complete a comparative analysis of employee commitment to their former organization.
