Abstract

Knowledge management hitherto has been researched extensively for its growing importance in influencing organizational performance. However research has been in areas such as KM enablers, KM processes and performance taken in isolation. The authors here have made an attempt to integrate these components and study their influence on organizational performance. The relationship between KM enablers such as organizational structure, culture and informational technologies, along with KM processes has been probed. Also of interest to the researchers was the relation between KM processes and organizational creativity. The impact of KM was ascertained using various measures. Evidence from the study undertaken is indicative of the relation between organizational creativity and knowledge management. Harnessing KM potential within it has been found is beneficial for achieving strategic objectives of any organization. KM processes it has also been found can be predicted by the type of culture and organizational culture existing in the organization. It is also found from the study that technology has an impact on knowledge management. This study provides the basis for a theoretical model that integrates KM influencers and opens avenues for further research and application for the industry.
