Abstract

This study aimed to ascertain the relationships between job satisfaction, job performance and marital satisfaction. Subjects for this study were 120 married dual-worker Malay couples between 26 to 58 years old living and working in Selangor, Malaysia. The instruments used were: The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaires (MSQ) to measure job satisfaction, ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale to measure marital satisfaction and Work Performance Assessment Scale for job performance. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and Pearson Correlation. Results indicated positive significant relationships between job satisfaction and job performance, job satisfaction and marital satisfaction and job performance and marital satisfaction. Implications for career counseling and marriage counseling were discussed.
