Virtual museums require students to use research skills. It motivates student learning through high-interest activities, makes them engaged in higher-level thinking, enables teachers to infuse 21st Century skills into traditional learning, allows for differentiated instruction/learning and offers a form of interactive learning. This paper provides suggestions for adapting visual arts curricula of middle school with the advantages of using virtual museums in order to meet the unique needs of the learner in the 21st century.
