Abstract

The aim of the article is to explore the degree of diversity management implementation in Poland and its relationships with trust in company and its managers and trust among co-workers. To verify hypotheses, we conducted a study involving 335 corporate workers and managers. They were asked to fill in a questionnaire referring to several aspects of diversity management and level of trust in the company at which they work. To explore the relationships between tested variables we used Spearman’s Rho correlation indicator with prior testing of the assumption of normality of data distribution. It turned out that the level of diversity management in participating companies is not high. Its level varies depending on the field in which the given company manages diversity (i.e., age, gender, family status, dis/ability, national and ethnical background, culture, race, religion, etc.). We found significant, positive correlations between the level of diversity management implementation and trust in company, managers, and between co-workers. The research confirmed that diversity management is an important factor related to the building of organizational trust.
