Abstract

This paper presents a taxonomy of curricular goals and model of academic standards aimed at developing the ICT literacy. Specifically, this paper reports how the taxonomy and model have been applied to the ICT curriculum initiated by the community-based organization to implement an ICT literacy programme (ICT-LitPro) for its secondary school community. ICT-LitPro focuses on learning about information and technology, with information and technology and through information technology. Efforts are underway to move ICT as a subject area in the Malaysian lower secondary schools.
