Abstract

Organizations benefit when their employees find their jobs meaningful as it upgrades their engagement and enhances productivity level. It is interesting to see that despite incorporating factors like job crafting, feedback, job rotation, etc., organizations are failing to meet employee’s expectations. The paper examines this process through a JOMVOE model –Job meaninglessness (problem), Employee volunteering (a way out from the problem), and Eudaimonic well-being (output). The JOMVOE framework proposes pathways and its antecedents to achieve eudaimonic wellbeing, simultaneously focusing on the relationship between three important aspects of the workplace. Through the conceptual framework of JOMVOE organizations managers can take leads for their HR policies and clue for an expected positive environment.
