Abstract

The Study focus on narratives and its impact on balancing the conflict between private rights and the social rights. We reviewed 100 papers from field like law, narratology, sociology, Psychology and economics. Paper discusses how the identities and role of social actors differ and what causes conflict of interests. Property and human rights have been viewed as conflicting to each other. Present study argues that conflicting rights are also complementary and collectivist orientation can help in fixing the role of social actors. We attempted to show how the narratological approach helps in building collectivistic accountability that helps in understanding the limited derivation of the self. The paper suggests, that for a possible social change, every player needs to understand his negotiative positioning and roles.
