Abstract

A vision is a statement that shows an anticipation of the ideal level to be reached (in terms of results) at the end of the collaborative evaluation. Therefore, a unified evaluation vision is the representation of what you and the collaboration members (CMs) believe that the future should be as a consequence of the collaborative evaluation. It shows the gap between present and future, so you and the CMs can take measures on what you need to do to close this gap. The evaluation vision should be seen from a systemic point of view as well, in terms of how it fits within the overall effort. Hence, it is important that everyone involved in the collaborative evaluation have a practical understanding of it. This includes from simply understanding the connection of the vision to the daily activities, to the awareness of its impact on the strategic choices to be made.
