Abstract

Last few decades, most of performing arts practiced in a theater which has pretty much defined space, and performer(s) who always deliver one way communication to the audiences may play on a fixed regular stage. Yet the taste of audiences is quite fastidious to spend their money and time to enjoy their cultural life. Do they prefer and chose the same regular way of performing arts in the future? Our project starts with this question and answer is pretty much doubtable. One of reason that we presume the future of performing arts is the trend already becomes switching the mode from non-networking performance to the networking-based performance which is the concept of ‘a simultaneous virtual performance’. This may rather call ‘E-Performance’ such as the genre in e-sports, e-learning, e-commerce, and so forth. Here is our scenario to describe for the project: The audience, – includes participants – as a virtual audience is able to be in the performance which is based on the same project and performs simultaneously at the different places; Sydney, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Seoul. Both the actors and the stage are same. And we need four actors in performance, one ‘Real actor’ and three ‘Virtual actors’ who play interactively each other. And the stage is also shown by ‘Virtual Reality’. This is a ‘Virtual performance’ using network. Finally, this project performs on-line ‘Second Life’ simultaneously. With the rise of the Web 2.0 era, the users who received contents passively start creating their own contents. Because of the development of network and multimedia tools, users easily express themselves and share their stuff on the web in real-time, and interact with each other. One of these shows clearly is UCC. Besides one side of topic is UCC, and the other one is collaboration on digital networking.
