Abstract

Enhancing the economies of third world countries through sustainable development remains one of the proven solutions to help improve human conditions. For the past twenty plus year world economic and political entities have held numerous conferences and forms in the subject. Much of the outcomes include pledges, emergency relief and/or other solutions which seldom seem to come to measurable or even visible solutions. This article will delineate four models which offer examples that in part have either worked, are working, and one yet to be tried. More than 5 billion people live in poverty with the heaviest concentrations and perhaps the least hope in third world countries. Implementing any one of these models successfully can only serve to improve their economic and environmental flight.
