Abstract

Aboriginal knowledge is not just about content but also the way we teach to Aboriginal students. Through teachers developing the role of facilitators and supporting Aboriginal Community members to guide students through content relating to Aboriginal cultural knowledge, all students will benefit from this knowledge but Aboriginal students will gain greater connection to the content and they should also gain greater connection to a School that shows their culture as valuable. Through well thought-out effective partnerships between Schools and the local Aboriginal Community, all students within that School would benefit from the committed Community capacity building structures that can be developed to support the Aboriginal cultural knowledge and NSW Schools.
