Abstract

The primary goal of international education for the College of Agriculture at Purdue University is to provide all students with a global perspective and in-depth intercultural awareness by utilizing new resources that are critical to bridge a closer understanding of agricultural production. By utilizing case studies and Facebook, the students were able to understand more about the content of their course on an international level. A recently developed international case study was incorporated into the curriculum of Agriculture Economics and Crop Science. Four questions on the post-test indicated that the students in all three courses agreed that more students should participate in a study abroad program and that the students were more interested to participate and were motivated to learn the semester that internationalized material was incorporated into the curriculum.
