Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitudes and perceived benefits of participating in a graduate cohort model, the cohort Institutes for Integrating Content-Knowledge with Classroom-Instruction (IICC) in particular. The graduate cohort model is an expanding phenomenon on colleges and universities across the country. This study sought insight into what makes a cohort successful, and how the attributes of success can be replicated in future models. Participants were all members of the IICC cohort and were chosen for the insight they could bring to the study as a stand-alone satellite program. The survey results indicated high levels of satisfaction with this particular model, and the outcome of this study would add to the conversation on graduate cohort models.
