Abstract
A quotation from Eph 5:18–19 contained in the general introduction to Ḥafṣ b. Albar al-Qūṭī’s translation of the Book of Psalms (889 AD) seems to be a revision of an earlier version that should be dated to at least the middle of the ninth century. Obviously, this makes it necessary to reconsider the chronology of Mozarabic literary production, which would be earlier than what has been considered so far.
