Abstract

In order to boost children’s physical fitness, governments around the globe are committed to working with professionals and specialists to enhance children’s physical fitness and to maintain healthy weight in young generation through improved physical activities and continued health policies. The study aims to compare the strategies for promoting physical fitness of primary school students from school, society and family between Queensland and Taiwan. Methodologically, documentary analysis, in-depth interview, participation observation and questionnaires were conducted to the survey. Principals, physical education teachers and parents were participated in the study. The results suggested that family, school and community sports organization should get closer association to improve and promote the physical fitness condition of our children. Through extending the boundaries of countries and drawing up physical-fitness-related policies and blueprints in the future, this study produces worthy reference to both sides.
