A Common Ethical Foundation for Gobalization
Abstract
Technology and global commerce occur today at a pace unparalleled in human history. Moreover, cultures, nations and geographic regions heretofore outside the mainstream of global business, today command center-stage. In the midst of contemporary and rapid-paced global commerce are manifold beliefs, values, norms, sanctions, laws and symbols. What is the common ethical foundation which facilitates global business in such a complex and varied context? This paper will examine the aforementioned question and the cultural elements which are common in the human community which facilitate global business and make today’s global economic success possible.
