Estimation

Given the information obtained from the steering committee, the survey team should complete 105600 interviews. In order to get the required number of the eligible participants, they have to visit 1242353 household in all the 100 stratum selected for the study. In Each stratum, the team will visit 12424 households to interview all the eligible participants in each stratum. Total number of clusters in all 100 stratum is estimated at 10600 clusters and each stratum will be allocated 106 clusters. The survey team deployed to each cluster, they are expected to 118 households per cluster. The main issue of a survey covering 100 districts, it will require strong quality control to ensure that bias is minimized throughout the survey, logistic and operational challenges might hinder the efforts to monitor the survey. We do not know how many districts are in the country. We are assuming that these numbers of stratum proposed by the steering committee yields a representative sample to meet the inferential goal of the survey. They will get immunization coverage figures of all the selected stratum, whether the result of the survey could be aggregated to represent national that will depend on on whether the stratum are presentative. Lack of contextual information, makes difficult to confidently say the findings of this survey could be generalized.
