A learning management system (LMS) is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of educational courses or training programs.[1] Learning management system is a concept emerging directly from e-Learning, even though there were other tools, informatics or not which have encouraged distance education Distance Education Learning Environments Survey. The first introduction of LMS is in the late 1990s.[2]

Based on the concept and to image that their first introduction was back in the 90´s. I believe that it has become almost essential to us nowadays. Students are familiar with following trends and topics that are class related due to this way of learning, to them it seems like something that they are familiar with. When students are presented with a printed worksheet, with exactly the same content, they tend to reject the idea, however, using something they love to use which is their mobiles, they are more likely to accept the activity and become engaged with it right away, they take feedback better and when a correction needs to be made they tend to get it done or get a high score/grade. So, the benefits that I´ve seen through my experience with LMS are an increased knowledge retention, because they can try it up to 10 times and I´ve challenge them to this, believe me, just to test the experiment. One of the things that I enjoy the most while working with LMS that they engage so much and since it builds this need to be the best or score the highest, they stay on top of required training, learning or review. They also engage with formal and informal learning best practices. They learn so quickly that they find their way around fast and while doing this I believe that they acquire skills and knowledge required for career advancement, that´s why the activities selected need to be well thought because this is something that will improve their performance and they tend to feel empowered to embrace self-improvement with necessary and useful tools to do so. If to all this you can relate, well it can also help us track down the number of learner activities, learning metrics and the progress reports are automatically generated such as course completions seeing that the grading gets done and the learning plan reports are on time when they are due.

That´s is why I´m interested in learning more, because the more my students learn the more I enjoy to see them and best of all the results are in immediately, that way I can focus on the next activity rather than consumed my time on grading.
