Our Centre has played a key part in securing the support of the Royal College of General Practitioners for the university's new strategy for place - based, primary care, based on integration with communities and local mainstream agencies and community assets. A developing Primary Care faculty, linked to UCLan's School of Medicine will be key to taking forward the strategy and its implications for the Primary Care curriculum. It will be supported by the Community Oriented Integration Network, an extensive national and international network for innovation in Primary Care, many contributors to the London Journal of Primary Care, which promoted through some 300 peer reviewed papers, innovation and lateral thinking on the future of community integrated primary care:
